Creating a TVC: the Process

A TVC generally lasts for around 30 seconds, depending on the script and the content of the TVC. Some TVCs can be much longer than this average, but these are rare.

Corporate Films can be from 3 to 5 minutes long or longer depending on the individual business’ needs.

The steps to producing a TVC is mostly the same as producing normal videos, the difference being condensing the content to a short video. Let’s find out about the process with YCN Media!

The process of creating a professional TVC:

•    The Agency receives the requests from the Client.
•    The Client’s requests are then transferred to the Creative department.
•    Draft scripts containing different ideas are sent back to the Client.
•    The client selects a draft and agree on proceeding with production.
•    A Storyboard is sent to the Production House from the Agency.
•    The Production House casts actors according to the script and even the Client’s requests. A-list actors are often in the Client’s initial requests.
•    Pre-production.
•    Post-production.
•    The Production House send the final video to the Agency, the Agency and the Client try to agree with each other on the contents. The Production House often have to make minor edits to the video at this point
•    Final TVC is completed, broadcast the TVC.
